Manomay Bhattacharya hails from a rich musical lineage, being the fourth generation of the esteemed Jadubhatta family. His melodious voice and deep-rooted training make him a distinguished figure in the world of Bengali music.
His career
Manomay began his musical training at the tender age of eight under the meticulous guidance of his father, Sri Dhrubadas Bhattacharya, a disciple of Subinoy Roy, and his mother, Ila Bhattacharya, a disciple of Ratneswar Mukherjee. His classical training was further refined under Benukumar Dobey, Bibhuti Bose, and Acharya Jayanta Bose, who instilled in him the finer nuances of Indian classical music.
His mastery over various genres of Bengali music was nurtured by eminent teachers like Anal Chattopadhyay,Biman Mukhopadhyay, Sukumar Mitra, Dilip Roy, Sanjay Chakraborty, and Jatileshwar Mukhopadhyay. He remains closely associated with Pandit Ajay Chakraborty, continuing to hone his skills under his guidance.
